Kohler's series of four volumes was edited by the German botanist Gustav Pabst, appearing from 1883 to 1914, a span of thirty-one years. Its nearly 300 illustrations were reproduced as chromolithographs by K. Gunther.

Available in 13 x 19 inch size for $40 and 8 x 10 inch size for $20, these images are printed on archival paper with archival inks, designed not to fade or discolor. Each print comes with information on the name of the plant, its published source and print detail. This letter of explanation is printed on acid-free paper and can be attached to the back of the framed work for future reference.
